RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) — The wife of a motorcyclist killed in a crash back in June is now suing the other driver involved.

25-year-old Daezon Morgan was pronounced dead by the Fayette County Coroner's Office after the collision on Monday, June 8, at Richmond Road and Preston Avenue. Police say 30-year-old Matthew Starling, the driver of another car, turned in front of Morgan's motorcycle, which led to the crash.

Investigators determined Starling was driving drunk at the time and initially charged him with DUI, then later second-degree manslaughter. Starling was released on bond shortly after.

In the lawsuit, the victim's wife, Sondra Morgan, claims Starling failed to "maintain proper control over his vehicle," as well as "gross negligence" and "willful misconduct."
