LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — A woman's wallet was added to the list of evidence in a shooting in the Portland Area in Louisville on Thursday.

Officials said 32-year-old Shelby Gazaway was killed by police after they say he came out of the store shooting at them.

Gazaway's sister Sterling saw something different on policy body camera video.

"We've all seen the news clip, 'Hey put the gun down! boom boom boom boom, put the gun down!' What?! You're not even going to give my brother the opportunity to surrender?" she said.

Police say Gazaway got into a fight inside the store with another man who pulled out a knife; that is when Gazaway allegedly pulled out his gun.

A woman who was inside the store says Gazaway went through her wallet after he started shooting. She said she left her purse in her shopping cart and ran with her son when the shots started. Other witnesses also say they saw him go through her wallet.

That wallet is now evidence in the case.
