LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Officials with the University of Kentucky reported that the alert which reported that an active shooter was on campus was a false alarm due to a "technical malfunction."
There was a technical malfunction with software this morning. A UK Alert was incorrectly sent out to office phones. There is no emergency and no UK Alert.
