LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Lexington were searching for a suspect after an armed man robbed a gas station on the city's southeast side.
Authorities said the robbery occurred just after 2 a.m. at the Shell station on Thunderstick Drive off Winchester Road.
A clerk told police that a man wearing dark clothes, white shoes and a bandanna over his face entered the station and brandished a handgun.
Police said the man demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A police K9 unit searched the area but did not turn up the suspect.
Lexington police are asking anyone with information about the case to call authorities.
