GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — More than 600 high school seniors in Scott County will be honored with in-person graduation ceremonies. That word came on Tuesday from Scott County Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hub.

The graduations are scheduled to take place during the last weekend of July. Dr. Hub says seniors from the district's three high schools will have graduations at different times at Birds Nest Stadium near Great Crossing High School.

"Maybe we're limited to crowds of fifty or less, but we are committed to having a face to face graduation," said Hub.

According to a statement released by Scott County Public Schools Tuesday, Phoenix Horizon Community, Great Crossing High School and Scott County High School will each participate in a community graduate parade and will premiere their individual virtual graduation programs beginning June 11, 2020 with PHC followed by GCHS on June 12 and SCHS on June 13. The parades will begin at 6 pm followed by the virtual program debut on YouTube each night at 8pm.
