LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Lexington were looking for two suspects after a pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday morning on the city's far southeast side.
Authorities said the robbery happened about 4 a.m. at a CVS on Todds Road near Man O War Boulevard.
Two men wearing black hoodies and white masks entered the store with one of the men brandishing a handgun, officials said.
The men made an employee open a safe, police said, from which narcotics were stolen. The men also took money and a cellphone from the employee.
Police said the assailants fled in an unknown direction. A K9 unit was called to the scene.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crime to call Lexington police.
