BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (LEX 18) — Bowling Green police are asking for help identifying a team of robbers who made off with hundreds of thousands of dollars in antique jewelry last month.

Police said three men pretending to be delivery drivers knocked on the door of a residence/home office at about 10:30 a.m. on July 13.

One of the suspects pulled a gun on an employee that opened the door. Police said the employee was then knocked to the ground, tied up, and suffered extensive injuries during the ordeal.

Police said one suspect watched the employee, another disabled a security camera, and the third suspect searched the house for a large safe.

Once the safe was located, it was loaded into a van with a moving dolly.

The safe contained hundreds of pieces of antique jewelry worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Police said some of the pieces are unique and easily recognizable.

The family is offering a $10,000 reward for the arrest of the team of robbers.

Police are asking anyone with information about the jewelry or recognize any of the suspects to call 270-393-4000.
