LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Fayette County coroner reported Sunday morning that a teen was found dead near Newtown Pike in Lexington.
18-year-old Mykel Waide was found near the Residence Inn.
Police said this is being treated as a homicide investigation.
The Tates Creek basketball team tweeted that Waide was a former player of theirs who was supposed to start his first year in college at the University of Louisville tomorrow.
