LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Frederick Douglass High School football team is mourning after former player, Michael Proctor, was shot and killed Friday morning, according to the Fayette County coroner.
Lexington Police said officers were called to North Broadway park at McClain Drive around 5:30 a.m. Friday morning for a reported shooting.
Proctor was taken to UK Hospital where he later died.
The Frederick Douglass football team tweeted a tribute to Proctor that said he played for the team from 2017-2019. They offered prayers for his family as well as all affected.
