JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — One person is dead after a multi-vehicle crash on Harrodsburg Road in Jessamine County.
The Jessamine County Sheriff's Office told LEX 18 that a gold car was traveling towards Lexington on Harrodsburg Road when, for reasons unknown, it crossed the median and hit a black SUV traveling south. That collision caused another vehicle to hit the SUV.
The driver of the gold car died at the scene and another person was taken to the hospital with injuries believed to be severe.
The sheriff's department said each vehicle had one person in it.
The Nicholasville Police Department's reconstruction team is at the scene. Southbound Harrodsburg Road will be down to one lane as the crash is reconstructed.
