A second tornado touched down in Owsley County on Thursday morning, the National Weather Service Survey Team in Jackson, Kentucky preliminary confirmed Friday.
It comes from the same storm that resulted in a preliminary tornado in Rockcastle, NWS Jackson KY said in a post to X.

The National Weather Service Survey Team in Jackson, Kentucky has preliminary confirmed that a tornado touched down earlier this morning in Rockcastle County.
Parts of Kentucky experienced a tornado watch early Thursday morning, paired with heavy rain and flooding seen across the state.
NWS Jackson KY said in a post to X that they are "continuing the survey into Jackson and Owsley Counties."
