ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The National Weather Service Survey Team in Jackson, Kentucky has preliminary confirmed that a tornado touched down earlier this morning in Rockcastle County.
Parts of Kentucky experienced a tornado watch early Thursday morning, paired with heavy rain and flooding seen across the state.
NWS Jackson said in a post to X that they are "continuing the survey into Jackson and Owsley Counties."
