Kentucky modern gun deer season opens Saturday.
That's according to the state's Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet and Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
Deer hunting reportedly brings in more than $550 million of total economic benefit annually.
About 300,000 Kentuckians hunt deer each year.
The season continues through November 28th.
