GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Three students and a bus driver were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision involving a pickup truck and a Garrard County school bus.
The crash happened on Mount Hebron Road near Burdett Knob just after 3:40 p.m. Garrard County Schools Transportation Director Scotty Merida said there were 30 students on the bus at the time. Merida says a pickup truck came around the curve and hit the bus head on.
Three students were transported with minor injuries. The bus driver was also taken to hospital for a complaint of pain in his ribs.
