CYNTHIANA, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Harrison County man has been indicted in a 2015 Cynthiana homicide.
According to Cynthiana police, Jonathan Tyler O'Connell has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of murder, complicity to murder, tampering with physical evidence and complicity to tamper with physical evidence related to the death of Billy Combs.
The indictment comes almost four years to the day that Combs was reported missing back in Dec. of 2015. His body was eventually found in the South Fork River. The coroner said Combs likely drowned, but police later reopened the investigation and charged O' Connell and an alleged accomplice.
The grand jury recommended a bail of $500K. The second co-defendant, who is now an adult but was a juvenile at time of the alleged offenses, is still being tried in juvenile court.
