LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man has been charged in connection with a March 3 homicide in Lexington.

Lexington Police Detectives have charged Quentin Love, 32, with murder for the death of Robert Clay, 63.

Police say a lengthy investigation led to identifying Love as the man who they say shot and killed Clay.

Officers say they found Clay's body on March 3, after being called for a welfare check at his apartment on Fairmont Court.

Love was already being held in the Fayette County Detention Center on an unrelated charge.
