UPDATE:
The Estill County Board of Education announced via Facebook that district schools would be closed Thursday "due to extreme cold temperatures and the threat of ice being on the roads between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m."
The day will be virtual non-traditional instruction.

Madison County Schools reported that it will have a "traditional snow day" on Thursday, Dec. 5 due to expected cold temperatures.
"We are concerned about the morning weather forecast, which includes extremely cold temperatures, wind, and the possibility of precipitation" in the morning, according to school officials.
