LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Lexington were searching for a suspect early Thursday morning who matched the description of someone who burglarized a store on the city's east side.
Authorities said officers responded to an alarm about 2:30 a.m. at 723 Vapor, 1201 Winchester Road.
Police said they found broken glass and other signs of a burglary.
Officials tell LEX 18 that just before 4 a.m. a report of someone matching the suspect's description was called in. Police said a foot chase ensued but the suspect got away around Henry Clay Boulevard.
Police continue to search for the suspect.
