LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police aided U.S. Marshals in arresting a murder suspect after a chase that ended in a crash on the city's south side.

Lexington police spokeswoman Brenna Angel said Oscar L. Johnson was taken into custody. She said Johnson was wanted in Detroit as a suspect in two homicides.

Angel said U.S. Marshals began chasing a vehicle about 10:50 a.m. on Tates Creek Road. The vehicle being pursued crashed near Albany Road, but no one was injured.

Angel said Johnson fled the scene of the crash on foot but was apprehended.
