LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man was found shot to death Tuesday morning at an apartment complex near the university of Kentucky, police have confirmed.
Authorities said the victim was a 21-year-old man who suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Police and emergency crews were called out about 8:30 a.m. to the 300 block of Transylvania Park, just south of downtown.
The man's body will be taken to the state medical examiner for an autopsy, officials said.
The Fayette County Coroner has identified the victim as 21-year-old Jonathan Meristil. His death has been ruled a homicide.
