STANTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A house fire that broke out in Stanton last week is now considered to be arson. LEX 18 obtained surveillance video that Powell County authorities said shows a woman believed to have set the fire.

Officials said she has been questioned and charges are imminent. They do not believe the fire is connected to the disappearance of a man missing since late September.

Shawn Glover's ex-girlfriend does not agree with deputies, telling LEX 18 , "I do not, the room Shawn was staying in was being boarded up. I seen it with my own eyes."

Kelly Elam said Glover, the father of her children, had been staying at the Maple Street home before he vanished September 27th. She said he hasn't been seen or heard from since. Elam said people she believes know the truth have confided in her about what happened to him. "I think he had a seizure, or he overdosed, and they got scared, and then got rid of him instead of bringing him home."

Powell County deputies said they do suspect foul play and hope to have answers soon.

If you have any information on Shawn Glover's whereabouts, call the Stanton Police Department.
