HART COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police have arrested a Hart County man who is accused of rape and child pornography violations.
Authorities said 25-year-old Devin L. Avery was arrested Dec. 11 in Munfordville after an investigation by KSP's Electronic Crime Branch.
Police began looking at Avery after he allegedly "posted several sexual explicit images of underage females online."
Investigators also seized equipment from the home where Avery was living and continue to examine the contents.
Avery was charged with first-degree rape and first-degree distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
He was being held in the Hart County Detention Center.
