LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Thousands of people are anticipated to attend the inauguration for Gov. Andy Beshear.

The Frankfort Police Department wants to spread the message, if you plan on getting out of the house tomorrow, take your time and be patient.

"We're going to have a lot of visitors to Frankfort that aren't here usually. So they're not going to know where they're going, so keep an eye out on those drivers," Police Chief Chuck Adams said.

The road closures will start at 7 a.m. and their goal is to have them back open by 2 p.m..

Every officer from the Frankfort Police Department will be working, including several officers from agencies across the state.

"Just have a good time, but pay attention to what's going on around you. There's going to be a lot of people here," Adams said.
