RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) — Hundreds of demonstrators gathered to support the Black Lives Matter movement in Richmond on Saturday.
Many speakers shared stories, read poems and even sang songs.
There was also a location to register to vote.
One local man told LEX 18 that he was proud of how the city of Richmond has handled the protest.
Demonstrators also shared a moment of silence for eight minutes and 46 seconds to honor the late George Floyd, who was killed by a police officer on Memorial Day.
