Update: The body found Wednesday in a pond near Yorkshire Medical Park in Lexington has been identified by the Fayette County Coroner as 30-year-old Sammy Morales-Plasencia, a man who was reported missing out of Coram, New York in December of 2023.
The coroner says that his tattoos played a role in the identification process.

Police say they were dispatched to the pond off Blazer Parkway and Yorkshire Boulevard at 4:11 p.m., and when they arrived, they found a dead body.
