BURNSIDE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Burnside police are seeking the identities of three individuals involved in a "quick change" cash grab scam.

Three African-American males driving a silver 2019 Infiniti Q60 SUV bearing Pennsylvania tag LIC/KXS9556, entered the Science Hill area on October 12.

The three stopped at a business where one of the individuals made a purchase and attempted to pay with a $100 bill. As the young clerk began to get his change, the suspect began to distract the young clerk with other money.

This made the young clerk confused at which time the clerk called for her manager. At that point, the suspect grabbed the money and quickly left the store. The store reconciled the cash register and realized he had scammed them for approximately $150.

The suspects repeated the scam at a retail store and another convenience store and took $295 and $350, respectively.

Burnside police have released photos of the suspects.
