MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Berea College professor, Stephen Pulsford, was found dead on his property early Saturday afternoon, according to the Madison County coroner.

Pulsford was arrested earlier this month by Kentucky State Police after they had allegedly learned he was sharing images of child porn online.

"Berea College regrets to announce that Dr. Stephen Pulsford, Associate Professor of English, died suddenly this past weekend," the college wrote in a statement. "Dr. Pulsford had been a member of the faculty since 1995. He was a former chair of the Department of English and specialized in Victorian literature. His loss will be deeply felt by his family and close friends, and we ask that you keep them in mind in their grief. This news was shared with the faculty and staff of the College on Saturday."
