LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — University of Kentucky campus police gave an "all clear" Wednesday morning after an earlier alert about an attempted armed robbery.
UK Police Department officials sent the original alert about 4:15 a.m. Authorities said the robbery attempt happened near the intersection of Rose and Aylesford lanes.
Police said two men in a sport-utility vehicle approached two females and brandished a gun.
Officials said other witnesses intervened and the suspects fled in the vehicle.
Police said no one was injured. There was no report of arrests in the case.
