MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– This weekend marks another year without knowing what happened to Brookelyn Farthing.

Saturday makes six years since Farthing went missing in Madison County. Her mother says she still holds out hope for the best-case scenario.

“You’ve got to, to have peace of mind,” said Shelby Tillery, Farthing’s mother.

Farthing has been missing since June 22, 2013, and no one has been able to provide any answers as to why, or how, it happened. Farthing left her family gathering in good spirits and had plans the next day. Within hours, she was gone.

While the case remains open, it’s likely police have exhausted most of their options and leads at this point.

So for her loves ones, the wait continues.

“If she has died, I want her body back home where I can give her a nice family burial, and I will have somewhere to go to sit and talk and cry if I need to. For us, it’s 6 years, at the point where I just want my baby back,” said Tillery.

If you have any information on Farthing’s disappearance, please contact authorities.
