Former WKU Football Star Listed As Missing Endangered Person

LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. (LEX 18)  – A former Western Kentucky football player, briefly known as “He Hate Me” in the XFL, has been listed as a missing person.

According to a Facebook post by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, Torrold “Rod” Smart was last seen Wednesday morning and has been listed as a “missing endangered” person.

The Sheriff's Office is asking for your assistance to locate a missing person. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts please contact the Sheriff's Office. 803-283-3388

Smart played for the Hilltoppers and was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2000. He was most well known for having the words “He Hate Me” as his name on his XFL jersey.
