LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – City officials have released the new playground design for Shillito Park and it looks like kids will have a lot to enjoy.
After 25 years, the city decided that the equipment desperately needed to be replaced. Element Design, PLLC created the new design, which they call “safe and more accessible.”
The Community Build Project will be on September 18 – 22, 2019. Lexington Parks & Recreation will team up with the community and the original designers of Shillito Playground to create a new space for play.
The United Way of the Bluegrass is assisting the City in managing volunteer sign-ups. There are a variety of volunteer positions available for community members, ages 16 years old and up.
