MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WBON)– A nurse has been arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a patient on multiple occasions.

WBON is reporting 49-year-old Alvin C. Buckmaster, of Berea, was a triage nurse for the victim last October at Baptist Health Richmond.

According to an arrest citation, Buckmaster began to assault and expose himself to the victim while she was instructed by him to produce a urine sample in the bathroom of the hospital. Video surveillance, according to the citation, shows the two alone in the bathroom for multiple minutes before she was able to come out with a urine sample.

The citation also notes that the victim and Buckmaster were alone on nine separate occasions later on during her hospital stay. During this time he allegedly made her touch him inappropriately and sexually assaulted her, even during times when he was there to draw blood.

The victim agreed to a sexual assault examination following the nine instances of alleged sexual assault and clothes were collected for DNA testing by Kentucky State Police.

Buckmaster was arrested Tuesday on a first-degree sexual abuse charge.

He was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
