BEREA, Ky. (LEX 18)– The family of a missing Berea woman has announced that Investigation Discovery will be airing a series on her disappearance.

Brookelyn Farthing was last seen at a home in Berea in the summer of 2013. She texted family members saying she wanted to come home, but would catch a ride with a friend. Brookelyn’s sister also said she sent a few messages saying she felt “unsafe.”

The homeowner told investigators he left the home and that when he returned, the house was on fire.  Despite many extensive searches throughout the years, Farthing’s disappearance is still a mystery after five years.

Officials say some of Farthing’s things were inside of the home but the teenager was nowhere to be found. With no new leads, the investigation has stalled.

Now, Investigation Discovery’s series ‘Still A Mystery’ will feature the case. Family of Farthing says the episode will air on May 27 at 5 p.m.

Farthing will have been missing six years on June 22.
