Officials: Woman Told Responders God Told Her To Start Fire In Frankfort

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WAVE) – A woman accused of an arson fire in Frankfort allegedly told emergency crews that God instructed her to start the fire.

WAVE reports that police arrested 35-year-old Penny Lineweaver on Sunday morning. She was accused of setting clothes and a chair on fire.

Authorities said Lineweaver told emergency crews that God told her to start the blaze.

Lineweaver was charged with second-degree arson.

She was being held at the Franklin County Regional Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
