GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The attorney for a Garrard County elementary school teacher pleaded not guilty to charges she drove to school drunk.

Last month, police say that 39-year-old Belinda Vance crashed in the parking lot of Paint Lick Elementary School, then she went into the school.

Officers say that they performed a field sobriety test and Vance blew a .198, which is more than double the legal limit. She was arrested and now faces multiple charges.

Vance did not appear in court for her arraignment, but her attorney entered a not guilty plea on her behalf.

She will be back in court June 6.
