LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Laurel County man has been sentenced to 13 and a half years in prison for his part in a kidnapping.

Twenty-five-year-old Robert Hurley III previously pleaded guilty to kidnapping and using a gun during the crime. He admitted in court to abducting a man who was believed to have stolen money from a Pulaski County drug dealer, in order to curry favor with the dealer.

Hurley was one of six people indicted in the case, which alleged the kidnapping as well as meth distribution conspiracy.

All six have no pleaded guilty and Hurley is the third to be sentenced.
