LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Photographers captured a sweet moment during the Antonio Franklin Jr. Peace Walk this weekend.
The walk was held Saturday in memory of Franklin Jr. who was shot and killed in crossfire at Duncan Park. Franklin’s mother, Anita, organizes the walk every year to honor his life and to initiate a conversation about gun violence.
During the march, a Lexington police officer noticed that a child’s feet were hurting. The 4-year-old child, named Antonio after Franklin Jr., was carried to the end of the line by Commander Mike Wright.
