MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A student was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning outside of Madison Southern High School, officials said.
Erin Stewart, spokeswoman for the Madison County School District, said the student was crossing Glades Road near the school when the accident occurred.
Stewart said the student received only minor injuries and that she wasn’t aware of any charges pending against the driver.
Stewart also did not provide other information about the student, such as age or gender.
She said some parents drop their kids off across the street from the school rather than wait in line, but that requires the students to cross the road.
