Man Pleads Guilty To Lesser Charge In Death Of April Neikirk

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (The Interior Journal)– The man charged with the disappearance and murder of a Lincoln County woman has now entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge.

April Neikirk was reported missing last May.

Her remains were later found in June near Ike Singleton Road in Waynesburg and were identified using dental records.

Otha Wesley was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.

It is reported last week Wesley entered a guilty plea to one count of first-degree manslaughter tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

According to the Interior Journal, Wesley agreed to serve 23 years for the death of Neikirk.
