BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (WLWT)– Officials are investigating after a cargo plane was struck by lightning on its way to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
It happened around 3 a.m. Monday.
Airport officials told WLWT the DHL plane was struck before it reached the airport, but emergency crews were ready in case there were any issues.
Officials say no one was hurt during the incident.
