WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (LEX 18)– A Kentucky man was arrested in Arkansas over the weekend in connection to the death of his wife.

Police in West Memphis responded to a call Saturday and found the 21-year-old Henderson man. He allegedly told police that his wife may be dead inside their apartment.

When authorities in Henderson investigated, they found his wife dead inside a closet.

We’re told the man admitted to moving her body, but denied hurting her.

He is being held in the Crittenden County Detention Center in Arkansas and will be extradited back to Kentucky on a charge of tampering with physical evidence.

An autopsy on the woman ruled her death a homicide, showing blunt force trauma to the head and a laceration to the neck.

More charges could be filed at a later time.
