WACO, Ky. (LEX 18)- A head-on collision on Irvine Road snarled traffic during the early morning commute.
Trooper Robert Purdy tweeted a photo of the crash that showed two heavily damaged cars. He tells LEX 18 that the crash occurred just after 8 a.m. near the Waco People’s Bank.
“Are you convinced that seatbelts and child safety seats save lives? I am, especially after crawling into this car to console a toddler while his mom is trapped up front. Thankfully, she was wearing her seatbelt and will continue to be involved in her son’s life,” wrote Purdy.

I AM!
Especially after crawling into this car to console a toddler while his mom is trapped up front.
Thankfully she was wearing her #Seatbelt & will continue to be involved in her son’s life.
