Jeff Ruby Prepping For Grand Opening In Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Despite years of setbacks, failed financing and frustration, Lexington’s City Center is taking shape.

One of the first to sign on when it was Centre Pointe, has kept its commitment and is almost ready to open its doors for what’s billed as more than a restaurant…it’s the Jeff Ruby experience.

Ruby first developed his brand in Cincinnati, Ohio, and expanded to four other cities. But one market remained elusive.

“I’ve wanted to do Lexington more than any other city, I’ve never been as excited as I am,” Ruby said.

As the first big name to say yes to Dudley Webb’s vision of Centre Pointe, the company had to exercise patience and set aside some pride to endure delay after delay, and resist the urge at times to call it quits.

“As much as I love Dudley and I love Lexington, this was a challenge. I’m glad that we waited. And I’m glad that we stayed on course. Cause I think the investment and the patience is gonna pay off.”

So, what can Lexington expect?

“They will leave with more than a doggie bag. They are gonna leave with a memory. And that memory is being totally, completely entertained. And get to forget about life for a while. Forget about their problems for one night.”

Jeff Ruby’s is set to open on the corner of Vine and Limestone in late April.
