MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (WPSD) — The interim principal of McCracken County High School has resigned, following the resignation of the county’s superintendent.

According to WPSD Local 6, Ginger Stewart announced her decision to return to her former position as McCracken County director of district-wide programs. She had been serving as interim principal since Michael Ceglinski was suspended without pay last month.

Ceglinski was charged with misconduct and failure to report abuse of a student. The misconduct charge was later dropped, but Ceglinski is still suspended as the failure to report charge goes through the court system.

On Friday evening, the school board accepted the resignation of District Superintendent Brian Harper in an emergency meeting.

There is no word on who will be appointed in either role.
