(LEX 18) – Jefferson, Oldham and Bullitt Counties have called school off tomorrow after a significant number of teachers called in sick.
This follows today’s cancellation of Jefferson County Public Schools as teachers there went to the capitol. JCPS has called off classes again for Thursday as well.
Kentucky Education Association President Stephanie Winkler in a Facebook live video discouraged teachers from calling a sickout.
“I just want to make it clear KEA did not call for a sickout. Regardless of what Gov Bevin says, KEA and JCTA did not do that,” Winkler said.
Due to a significant number of teacher absences, Oldham County Schools will NOT be in session tomorrow, Thursday, March 7.
