FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — A young Frankfort boy with cerebral palsy has finished in second place in a national contest to win a special bike.
5-year-old Gideon Robinson entered The Great Bike Giveaway for the chance to win a $7,000 tandem bicycle.
He did not receive enough votes to win the bike, but he did raise enough money to buy his own!
His mom, Abby, says the bike will help him be more independent, and he’ll be able to use it as he grows up.
GIDEON IS GETTING A BIKE!!! Best update EVER this morning!! His mom informed me they met their fundraising goal late last night! Thank you to everyone who voted or donated! Can't wait for the follow up story 😊😊😊 pic.twitter.com/RrYvPvOQ9C
