SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– An investigation has determined that there is no threat against Georgetown Middle School in Scott County, according to the Attorney General’s Cyber Crimes Unit.

Threats made over the weekend on social media told “GMS” students not to go to school Tuesday because violence could occur.

Investigators were led to a middle school in Maryland, which they say the “GMS” was in reference to.

Only about 42 percent of students went to Georgetown Middle on Tuesday, with a large police presence on school grounds.
