LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Officials said two people were hospitalized after fire crews responded Sunday morning to a fire at duplex on Lexington’s north side.
Crews were called out about 8:20 a.m. to a blaze at a duplex in the 100 block of East Loudon Avenue, just east of Limestone.
Officials said two people were taken to area hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
Smoke and flames were rising off the structure as firefighters worked in a steady freezing drizzle to strike the blaze.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
