Multiple Reports Of Shots Fired In Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Lexington Police are investigating after they say there were multiple reports of gunshots Thursday night.

Officers are collecting shell casings after vehicles and houses were reportedly damaged by gunfire near Race Street.

Police say they recovered a stolen vehicle they believe may have been involved. They say it had been abandoned.  The people believed to be involved in the Race Street incident are described by police as three teenagers.

Officers say that it appears the shots were fired during a “rolling disorder.”

Shots were heard at the vigil for Alisa Reed at Charles Young Park.

Police are not sure if the two incidents were related.

Shots were also fired in the 600 block of Northside Drive, according to police. They say that there had been a fight between two people who knew each other.

One person pulled a gun and started shooting, according to police.

A bystander was hit.  Police say that person was taken to the hospital by personal vehicle.

One person is being quested in that case, which happened around 7:10 p.m.

Police are not sure if any of these shootings are connected.
