LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Lexington Public Library is offering an “old school” way to show love this Valentine’s Day. They’ve set up a typewriter for anyone to create a letter for their sweetheart.

“There’s something about the permanence and maybe the impermanence of typing a letter,” said Library Marketing Specialist Jill Malusky.

You can have a seat at the Central Library, located on Main Street, load in a piece of paper and type out a note to your Valentine at their “Old School Love Letters Station.”

Malusky said they saw the idea on social media and went for it. She says that so far, people love it.

The typewriter will stay out through the weekend, so it’s not too late to have that heart to heart with your valentine.
