LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18)– Former Kentucky Wildcat and current L.A. Laker Rajon Rondo is helping out students in the Bluegrass.
Rondo donated several pairs of shoes to the W.E.B. DuBois Academy in Louisville as a reward for the highest performing students.
23 young men with a GPA of at least 3.5 received the shoes.
The school, which opened in August, is an all-boys middle school that’s predominantly African American, but open to everyone.
It’s one of only five in the country.
